Supreme Court Rules Accused Cannot Seek Case Transfer Under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act

Today, the Supreme Court ruled that an accused individual cannot request the transfer of a case involving the dishonor of a cheque under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. The vacation bench, consisting of Justices AS Oka and Rajesh Bindal, dismissed a transfer petition filed by the accused in such a case.
